"1984" Election Ads and Uninformed Voters
At this point no one has claimed responsibility for the original ad. The internet allows for a great deal of anonymity, which can be good but can also lead to a lot of abuse and deception. Future elections might be decided based on information from an industrious twelve year old or by a spurned lover with an ax to grind. Who knows, perhaps one statement by a blogger sitting in the Philadelphia area could change the course of an election.
In this country we have the right to be uninformed voters, basing our vote on anything we choose. But if we want our country to be the best it can be we need to become informed voters. It is time for the citizens of the United States to take an active grass roots roll in becoming informed voters and in helping our neighbors so they also can become informed voters.
Update 3/22/07: The creator of the original add featuring Sen. Clinton has been revealed. Hat Tip Michelle Malkin.
