Interesting Reading January 3, 2007
As this nation moves away from cherishing the traditional family structure (one man and one woman) we will see an erosion of civilization. Independent Conservative posts about how a lack of respect for family is "The Source of Problems That Plague America Today." IC also reviews the records of leading presidential candidates from both parties and their attitudes toward the family.
Getting back to family values is one of the recommendations by LaShawn Barber for communities trying to combat gang violence. In "Hispanic-on-Black Violence" Ms. Barber asks why the protestors, who often show when a white person commits a crime against a black, are not showing up in L.A. to protest Hispanic crime against blacks.
While I believe we have one of the best systems of justice in the world, it ain't perfect. My Thoughts Exactly posts the story of Genarlow Wilson, a 19 year old serving a 10 year prison sentence. There is clearly something wrong in this case.
